This has been a great day. I mean the kids are motivated; their getting into it now and every group has their own chant.
He said some really important things for us to think about, not just the kids but the adult's too, so it's been really fun.
First of all, you have a very diverse group of kids in every one of the break out groups and I think their starting to get together to be a team and get to know each other. Kids that had not known each other before, teachers and community leaders who had not known who these kids are, it's been great to see at least our group and I think the other groups come together.
I think we have to make changes; we have to be able to take this material and then internalize it. It has to become a part of who we are and I look at that as a teacher and a coach. Seeing how I can use this right away to make the kids that I work with better, to be more efficient as a leader in my own right, as a teacher and a coach and I think thatís the important thing. Ya know what can we do after this thing is over to start making changes? Itís been very inspiring, itís been wonderful!
